What and the Hell is That? Sea Monsters!

If you are old enough to remember Steve Martin on Saturday Night Live doing his skit "What and the Hell is That?"  Then you can appreciate the sighting of creatures in the water in the distance and not being able to tell what they are.  Hence, Li Li saying "what and the hell is that" one early morning standing on Green Beach looking out to the sea. We have snorkeled a thousand times and have seen all kinds of marine life and have chased a hundred rays and turtles. I grew up going to California every summer and I have seen all kinds of seals, sea lions, whales, and sharks through the years. This time I had not a clue of what was in the water about fifty yards in front of us. At the time I had a ruptured disc in my lower back or this kid would have been swimming out to see what they were. Li Li is not the crazy I'll chase anything in the water like myself. I will attest and Li Li will back me up, there were between two to twelve sea monsters. All you could see were black humps going up and down on top of the water. Since that day it has been known as the day of sea monsters for us. If you look straight out to the water almost in the middle of the picture you can see two dark spots on top of the water. Told ya there are sea monsters, I tell no lies!

This is the beauty of Vieques Island and the special place for us to be in the future. We are two coconuts on a island with nothing but exploring and relaxing on our minds. When we are on Vieques we get up early and hit the beach by 8am get settled in and start the day off with a dip in the water. Trust me we are a water nuts in the grandest way possible and Vieques is our biggest fix. We live next to a scenic river and lake year around and spend every moment we have on them. Most people would kill to have our five acres that is ideal for nature lovers infused with peace and quiet. We have daily visits from our local deer which all have names that come to feed on the corn that we supply. Still we have the need to live on Vieques six months out of the year if not year around! The saying is true the grass is greener on the other side and that other side for us is Vieques, Puerto Rico. Hope to see you on beach real soon!
